The Wiz – Set Design for the Musical
How cool is this?!
It’s a set design for the musical THE WIZ, performed at West Haven High School in West Haven, CT, USA.
The director was Margi Maher and the set designer was Sean Maher.
Sean took inspiration for his beautiful set design from my painting, Shiny Happy Landscape. I absolutely love seeing the way interpreted and adapted the artwork to suit their set design needs. I think they did a great job – their set looks so whimsical and fun! A wonderful backdrop for such an enchanting tale. The actors and actress look wonderful with their costumes!
The set design has been entered into a national competition, so we’re wishing them the best of luck!

Very cool!
Hola Thaneeya!!!! I have been visiting your site for a while. I stumbled upon it doing research on previously done imagery for the Day of the Death since I am working on a personal project.
I just wanted to tell you that your art has been a source of inspiration for quite a while and that I would love to have the chance to work with you on a future project!
Keep creating, that’s what keeps the world moving!!
Saludos!!
I hope they win! It’s always great to see how many people you inspire with your work.
I also read your 15 pages on photo realism. That was very inspiring. Maybe when I’m done with school I’ll have some time to try it out.
When are you going to do some more photo realism?
