What is this?

This blog is divided into 3 overlapping and interweaving sections:

  • art

  • creativity

  • the meaning of life

Everything that I write about on this blog will fall into one of these 3 categories.  More than likely, each post will fall into at least 2 and sometimes 3 of these categories.  But for the sake of being bloggy and being organized, I’ve created these 3 arbitrary categories that I will plunk each post into.

The Art section will cover art in all its various aspects and manifestations.  I’ll talk about my own art as well as the art of others.  I’ll also write about different artistic styles and thought processes.  (Although if you are looking for in-depth “how-to” art information, please visit my other site, Art is fun, in which I teach you everything I know about art!)

The Creativity section delves into the question of “What is creativity?” We will explore ways in which we can manifest more creativity in our daily lives by igniting our curiosity, being open to new possibilities, and cultivating a practical sense of mindfulness.  The Creativity section is basically a bridge between the Art and Meaning of Life sections, connecting art with the act of asking questions and going beyond the obvious.  This section integrates visual output with intangible consciousness.

The Meaning of Life section – now that’s a biggie.  In this section we ask the “Big Questions”.  We’ll explore why we’re on this planet in the first place, taking a look at various viewpoints and philosophies.  We’ll question our own belief systems and ponder the nature of reality.  Even though we won’t come up to any definitive answers to these age-old questions, we’ll dip into the questions and try to make some sense out of all the madness.  (Not everything in this section is “heavy,” however – some posts will just focus on gazing in wonder and astonishment at this beautiful and incredible world that we find ourselves in.)

Thanks for joining me on my new blog!  As of the time of this posting, this blog is actually still in the fetal stage but I am ready to push it out into the world and let it organically evolve and take shape over time.

Please post comments when you’ve got something to add to the discussion, or when you’ve have questions about anything.

Also, let me know if there are any particular topics you’d like me to write about, and I’ll take it into consideration!

Best Wishes,

Thaneeya
