About Thaneeya's Owl Art
My owl art combines my love of color, pattern and detail with my adoration of our wide-eyed feathered friends. Owls are perfect for decorating with colorful patterns and designs because their feathers, wings, eyes and body shapes are so bold and iconic. I fill my owls with designs that are fun, whimsical and eye-catching - much like my other colorful abstract art!
Many of my owls are purely imaginary and don't represent any specific species of owl, but some of them are based on specific owl types, such as saw-whet owls, pygmy owls, burrowing owls, screech owls, barn owls and others.
I create my colorful owl art using alcohol markers, colored pencils, pens, watercolors and digital media. I also like to use paint markers to draw designs on plain mugs, like this one!
