How to Paint on Rocks

Learn how to paint on rocks in my new step-by-step video tutorial!

Painting mandalas on rocks is one of my all-time favorite creative activities, because:

1. It’s so relaxing and meditative - I quickly slip into the “zone” and get into the “flow”!

2. It’s so fun to play with color and details!

3. Paint markers are so easy to use!

Below you can see some of my painted rock mandalas:

These rock mandalas look pretty detailed, but once you watch how I create them step-by-step, you'll see that they're really just intricate doodles that you can create, too! 😃

Here's a screenshot showing one of the first steps to creating your own detailed rock mandala:

As you can see, they start out pretty simple! A few minutes later, the rock mandala looks like this...

And you keep adding more and more detail, until your rock painting looks like this!

Of course, you don't have to make your rock mandalas as detailed as mine! 😁 I'm just totally addicted to detail, so I keep adding more and more, but you can declare your own rock to be finished at any step of the way. 😊
