Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers
/I LOVE trying out new art supplies, so I was delighted when a representative from Spectrum Noir contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in testing out their metallic markers!
There are 12 colors available (shown below) available as 2 different sets. One set contains silver, pewter, and several shades of gold and copper (the 6 markers below left), while the other set contains jewel tones in shades of green, blue, purple and red (the 6 markers below right).
Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers are opaque, which means they can be used on a variety of surfaces such as paper, wood, rocks, glass and ceramics. They really POP on black paper, as you can see in the mandala below right, but the colors were a tad muted (though still looked cool with their metallic sheen) when I used them to doodle on the rocks shown below left. I used the markers directly on the rocks so I wonder if I'd painted the rocks black first whether the colors might have popped as much as they do on black paper. I'll save that for a future experiment!
Here's a bigger mandala that I doodled on black paper using the Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers:
I wrote a much longer review of my experience using these markers over on my art instruction website. If you're interested in learning more about these metallic markers, click the pic below or click here to read my full Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers Review!
